Founded in 2016, The British Association of Laser Safety aims to advance laser safety by connecting laser professionals, researchers, educators, employers, and Laser Protection Advisors.

 

Through professional standards, recognised certification, education, and collaboration, the Association supports the development of competent laser safety professionals across healthcare, industry, research, and education.​

The Association provides an independent pathway for professionals wishing to become certified Laser Protection Advisors, ensuring they meet recognised standards of competence and professionalism. It also maintains a public directory of certified LPAs, making it simple for organisations and individuals to find a qualified Laser Protection Advisor with confidence.

 

​By promoting best practice, supporting continuing professional development, and maintaining high professional standards, the Association serves as a trusted voice for laser safety throughout the United Kingdom.
